Interior Light Covers

001.JPG002.JPG003.JPGWould like some help please - we are trying to locate some interior light covers for our Mayfair by Regent van (2000 model) and cannot seem to locate them - even Regent can't help us. The actual light fitting is called 'Old Delta', and is no longer available.

Hi Pejay,

Have not seen that version before but would reccomend doing away with the fluro altogether and replacing it with an LED panel about the same size. Same light output and many years of bulb life and very low power use.

You should be able to check the LED market at peninsula rv's site. I am pretty sure there would be an LED panel with the same dimensions you would need to replace the fluro with.

Hope that helps if you cannot find a replacement.

Trevor

Pejay.

Try this link and open catalogue  under electrical go to page 36, as you don't advise what the dimensions are of your existing fittings this may be of assistance.

Thanks Trevor & Jim, will follow it up after our long weekend this weekend here in Qld. Also, Please accept my apologies for the over-large photos, it is the first time I have 'attached' photos and was unsure what I was doing, will try and get it right next time.

June

Hi Jim,

Yes and no, is the appropriate answer at this stage - what we are doing for the moment as we are running out of time to get the lights changed over, is to add spacers to each screw and place a flat piece of 'milky' perspex over the top, sort of making a very modern looking light fitting. Hopefully we can get it done and post a photo before we head off next week - if not will be done when we get to Canberra, then I will post a photo - then the above will hopefully make sense.

Hi Jim,

Well the new 'shades' are up and I don't think they look too bad, Pete's not sure, so will 'live' with them for the next couple of weeks, then make 'an informed decision' as to whether they stay or they go and we bite the bullet and completely replace the lights. Went to take a piccy - the batteries are flat in the camera - will get some new ones tomorrow and will then post a photo for you to see.

June

Got the said batteries today, took the piccies, what do you think.

Hi Jim

After a couple of days on the road, we too are quite pleased with them, and all they are is pieces of milky perspex cut as rectangles - $6 each from a local perspex place, longer screws and the white plastic caps that go over the screw heads.
