Help needed with Phaselink Antenna

Hi I have a Phaselink antenna and I believe that the booster is not working because I get very few stations while a mates identical antenna gets lots of station.  I am in Adelaide and trying to find the manufacturer of this antenna or a reputable repairer.  I would appreciate a quick reply as I am heading north in one weeks time.

Thanks

I don't know if this is any help to your problem, but Adelaide TV is VHF, not UHF.
After setting everything up for digital in Cairns on UHF vertical polarity, with booster, I was wondering what the heck was going on in SA. My vertical set up worked in Mt. Isa and Alice Springs, but not Adelaide.
So I consulted an antenna "expert" who gave me the frequency information for free, after offering to sell me a huge antenna, which I politely declined.
I then went to see Tricky Dicky and purchased a more compact VHF antenna, on horizontal, and everything works very well now.

Thank you for your reply.  The problem definitely lies within the antenna as an identical one works fine.

There are a few different models of Phaselink. Are you sure yours has an amplifier. If you have the complete kit and it is an amplified model it will also have a power supply with it to feed lo voltage power up the co-ax cable.

As regards polarisation with Phaselinks, you can change their polarity. You simply separate the front of the UHF bit from the rear and turn the mounting clamp around. Then reassemble.

It doesn't have a power supply with it, just a circuit board.

It needs a power source from somewhere to power the circuit board, if there is no power you will be lucky to get a picture at all. you will need to check your outlet to see if you have voltage between the outer metal and inner pin. It may feed in somewhere else, it dosnt have to feed in at the socket.

It may very well not have an amplifier. Definately not if there is no power supply to the antenna.
Note: the signal in Adelaide is horizontal polarised so you'll need to have you Phaselink horizontal or you'll have dificulty receiving an image.
I've been using a Phaselink for many years and reckon it's as good as most other portable antennas on the market, but it does benefit by the addition of a quality mast head amplifier such as a 'Kingray'
Cheers, ozjohn

Thank you for all your input. I have been told they are no longer in production so will get a new Happy Wanderer.
