Good to hear from you all again, & thank you Lily31, ChiChi1, Firefly, Barband Daz & Ma.

I've finally surfaced from the two floods & cleaned up the mess in the various camping spots.
Didn't get flooded in my camp but it was close the second time & the continuing rain events has made it impossible to move, but my first two visitors camped over easter & we all had a great time & fortunately the weather was perfect this time as we managed to dodge the rain that Roma & Toowoomba had again, so just fortunate this time.

Yes Ma, your site has been "christened" & is ready, & yes Dunmowin enjoyed themselves in their new caravan.

Hi BobnBev
Haven't had a chance to give it a good try out mate. Put the frig on at Dalby on the way back when I did a big shop, but that was only a couple of hours on the way back to Chinchilla between floods, & haven't been anywhere since as it's been too wet everywhere.
Please give me a bell when you're up this way & you're always welcome here as you know.

Middle of August is fine Ma & look forward to seeing you both.
Thanks for giving Lorraine my mobile number because I had transposed a couple of numbers. I claiming it was a "seniors moment".
Won't be long now!!

Thank goodness.  Was just trying to find your location a few days ago, Dougie, and got told you weren't here anymore.   Though you'd gone forever.

Good to see you back.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Hey Doug, glad to see you back on the forum.  Have not had much of an opportunity to get on to computer since Easter - things have been very hectic.  We enjoyed our visit immensly, will recommend to any GNs we meet.

regards

Dunmowin

Thanks Lorraine. Enjoyed having you both & your friends.

Am organising gravel in the creek crossing in next couple of weeks, so will be right for Ma's visit in case it's wet again.

How many weeks now? 7 or so.

Keep in touch, Regards Doug

Sorry Doug wish it was just 7 weeks but by my calculations it's more like 16

Sorry Ma, the 7 was for Lorraine. The countdown when John finishes work & they start their grey-nomading!

It's along time since I quizzed you about your place Dougie, so I've forgotten...is it okay for a regular car or does it require 4WD? May pop in somewhere around Sept or Oct. I'll let you know if and when.

Hi Beth

Fine for cars, caravans & motorhomes now Beth, so long as it doesn't rain more than 50mm, but I think the worst has gone now.
Dunmowin & their friends were in at Easter with caravans so no problems at all.
I may not be here later in the year from end Oct, early Nov as I will be travelling, so please email or ring first.
Ma will be here in August sometime, so you can PM her if you want to catch up here during their stay.

Regards
Doug

How the years roll by !! Bit like the Dunny-roll, the closer it gets to the end, the faster it goes, & how true is that?
