Just had a message from Firefly. They are up on the Gold Coast for two nights and she said they are having a nice relaxing time sipping their burbons and watching the sunset.
The only downside is that for two nights on the Gold Coast than it did for four weeks on the road. Keep in mind this is accommodation only.

And caravan parks whinge when they go out of business?????? I DON"T THINK SO!!!!!! I don't mind paying for anything, but I do hate being "ripped off". Cheers Dellie
My daughter and I stayed in a hotel in Brisbane (Annerley Road) about 500m from Southbank, when we went to see "Wicked" - $109 for a twin room - absolutely lovely - well appointed, had use of pool, spa and sauna - would recommend it to anyone. Two weeks ago a suburb of Melbourne - Glen Waverley - a "name" hotel - no different to the one in Brissy - and a special at $145! normally $205 - because we booked with a wedding party who were having their reception there - it is unbelievable the price of hotels these days. Anyway - as long as they are having a good time - a bit of luxury never hurt anyone.

Yes it was just a hotel room for two nights but it was clean and comfy. Still to think how little we do actually spend on the road in comparison is a bit of a shock.
