Nor me, A late riser and late to bed is me. I always make appointments for after 11am so I know I've had enough time to do what I have to at home before I head off.
Like waking up you mean? I get that. I actually have to wait until the pills kick in to kill some of the back ache so I can get moving to get my stuff done. I love the mornings, but my body isn't a morning person. The head's fine, well, as fine as a head can be, but the body just can't keep up. No blood tests, ultrasounds, scans or MRI's for this little white duck for a while, I hope, if I have any say in it. Stay well everyone. That way you too can avoid all this medical science stuff. Great when you need it, but I hope you don't need it.

for those that dont know , i have been apart of my local comunitry fm radio station for the las 4 or so years and also early in the mid 80's when they first started. now it seems like the station is on is on its way off the air for good.. to many bad things gone on to post here but lets just say i might not have a show to do when i come back from our cruise
i have been hosting a 2hr rock pop show, 60's - todays music from Elton John to Kiss , to Robbie Williams etc.. its a shame as i did a 4 hr show the other night covering the guy after me and i had 4 hrs music planed but had 4 hrs of requests, which i do every week too... just nothing i can do.. or any one can do.. its on the down ward spiral and thats it..
no other stations close enough to join. so if this goes , im stuffed... just down at the moment... , i would love for it to keep going but i cant see it happening...
What a shame Milo - we have a community radio station here in Boonah - they play a lot of country music, but there is a guy on now who plays really good stuff from 50', 60's and 70's - the community info on it is fantastic - have a "for sale" on weekends, as well as garage sale notifications etc., they have a lot of support from the community, so hopefully will continue for many years to come.

Pity you didn't live here milo. There is a community station in the park opposite me, they are always calling out for volunteers to keep it going. It's run quite well too.

A full Top Plate will be much better than a Partial I think Milo. I've had mine for about 30 years with no problems, apart from re-lining once and a new one recently.
Got remaining bottom teeth out, and the new Top Plate about 4 months ago, and the only trouble I've had is with the Bottom Plate.
Still can't eat with it in, and only put it in when I have to go out in Public.
i got home last nite with a high fever, sweating it etc felt like throwing up took some nurefen and slept all night, im ok now, just taking it easy..
also. with my radio station, i think therse going to be a mass walk out things are terrible there... its breaking my heart.. been there since the begining and back for the last 4 years....
well, went out with my dad and couple friends for dinner and gave my new teeth a work out. seems to be ok but still sore after eating . saw my denture guy yesturday and he's quite happy how its all gone , but will take some months for my gums to be semi normal and get used to my plate..i wish we were like sharks and grew our teeth back thats something im going to talk to the big guy when i ever see him.. if i ever do....
32 days till our cruise!!!

You'll wonder what all the fuss was about in a couple of weeks. If your gums get too sore try some teething gel on the plate. It numbs the gums and aids the healing. It's good for ulcers as well. It's called Bonjella - a slight aniseed flavoured gel. Orased Gel is a strawberry flavour which does something similar. Anything to get you through the worst. Keeping them clean will also keep you more comfortable. It seems you may have stressed yourself into a state of nausea and generally feeling of unwell. I hope you're eating well and getting plenty of sleep. You have your own health issues as well as caring for your aging dad. You can only spread yourself so thin before it begins to show on the outside. Take care of yourself, or you'll be no good to anyone. It sounds as though the powers that be in the community radio network may be painting themselves into a corner as well. Too many chiefs and not enough indians in volunteer organisations is usually the undoing. It's a sad loss when this happens, but unless someone is willing to be strong, in the best interests of the organisation, not the individual, it will crash into oblivion. Are you going to be that strong one? Maybe rally some like-minded members of the team and rethink the whole organisation back to life. I was approached as a news-reader for the station in Cairns, but at the time my health was causing some dry mouth issues, not conducive to news reading. Good luck with everything.

Beth, we too, travel to see our GP. After a procession of locum doctors after he left, we eventually became very disillusioned, and now travel for over an hour to see our previous GP. I would rather do that and feel confident with his diagnosis, than wonder if the others have got it right. Once bitten, twice shy, kind of thing.
I agree, trying to look after dad, and myself is a full time job almost, but i wouldnt have it any other way,
with my radio station, we are getting some out side help, how long it will keep us on air is anyones guess... i just try and help out where i can , see how things go,
We have 20 days or so left til our cruise so were both trying to keep well...
the last 8 months have been go go go , up n downs and very low lows of lows..
