Yep its still raining and we have had over 6 inches of rain over night, dont know what it would have been like if we had of had heavey rain like up north.. There is water where Ive never seen it before. Dont like the chances of a good grape seaon this year... But it dose dry out quickly in this part of the world, the sandy soil drains well... I wouldnt like to be camped down by the river just now, there are some very muddy spots and getting out could be a big problem.... If you have free camping in mind ask first... Its still a good place to have a look around.....

Has it stopped yet BobnBev? How high is the river... read that theres more floods coming down. We had 4 inches in Canberra over the last couple days but now its turned COLD. Brrr!
The rivers are rising here in Echuca Gerty. The neighbour said the Campaspe was to peak in Rochester about 7pm tonight. Not sure if that means they will get flooded again. They only just had a concert last night to relieve some tension from the previous flood. The sun is out and it has been a beautiful day with a nice cooler temp and no humidity but after the last two days rain it has to go somewhere. I went over the Campaspe yesterday here in Echuca and it was way down, I went over again today and it was way up, I couldn't believe the difference in 24 hours. All the sandbags from the last one have been stacked in the park opposite me and from Friday trucks and trailers have been arriving taking them away to be used somewhere. My s.i.l. said they were sandbagging around the post office on Friday night as the heavy rains had cause flooding up from the drains.
Where is all this water going to go? Will it freeze in the Northern Hemisphere? Where will all the top soil end up? An amazing phenomenon. Thinking of everyone everywhere worse off then I. It doesn't help the people on the ground going through the trauma.

It sure was. By the time I pulled out in October I was over the humidity and rain. There was just no relief during the "dry" season. It rained on an average of 3 out of 7 days, and the humidity averaged 70% right through the year. While I enjoy the tropical climate I was a little bit over it, and was also aware of the cyclone predictions because of the warm ocean. Adelaide is typical - stinking hot for 3 days, then it's back to coats and boots because it's cold again. My Qld friend said there are too many chimneys down here, so he's heading north again. I'd never really reviewed the climate of a place by the "chimney factor", but it does make sense.
