Well the tenants are in our house now and we are camped by the dam at my son's place until Christmas day, when we leave for four month to Victoria and a sssslow thip back here for a caravan rally in mid April
Congratulations on your new lifestyle! Not homeless. Just a different place of residence. Real estate and furniture does not necessarily a "home" make. Enjoy!

Hi Goinsoon, Can you please tell me what made you guys venture into a new lifestyle as this is a big decision. We are hopefully doing the same thing next April 2011,travelling to the West with no time frame as we expect to be away for 12 months. Cheers Mick
Gee Mick, we thought about it long and hard, and as we dont have much super the rental with my pension will give us a reasonable income and we will come back to the home we love. My son lives in the same street and will keep an eye on the house, we also intend spending some time with my wife's 88 year old mum before we venture off again about June next year, in the meantime we will be here beside the dam at my son's place till Xmas. The big thing that made us move was she worked for KMart and cant get pension for 18 months and since Westfarmers took over it it a lousy place to work, she used to come home depressed every night so the decision was easy in the end

You are never homeless if you take your 'home' with you. We have no 'permanent' place of abode but our caravan comes with us where-ever we travel. If we stay in one place for a while then we have all we need and for the travelling life, well it goes without saying that you don't need all the mod con's and other extras to enjoy the 'life on the road'. Meeting people is the highlight of this life - people with the same outlook on life - relaxed and not stressed with work...... take the slow road whenever possible. )
Goinsoon, very soon to be known as Going, Going, Gone. Have a good one pal and tell us all about it when you can, with piccies if possible, some of us have a hard time reading.

Congratulations Goinsoon. Big decision huh!! Roger {Dero} retired in July. We had no reservation about it at all. Just love that travelling...but... I'm one of those that must have my bricks and mortar to come back to. Where you are camped up looks just great. Enjoy. cheers Dellie
Well done Brian, I am sure you will not regret it! Your site by the dam looks like a great place to dwell awhile until you take off!
Like John said, you'll have to change your username to "Going, Going, Gone", ha ha.
Happy Travels !!
The name change will be on Xmas day when we leave on our trip, my new tag will be Gonenow Sounds good to me.......if I changed mine it would have to be "Gone Sometimes"........not that I intend to, and some would argue that I "went" a long time ago !lol !
