Yes, I know that I have put this on before, & that was 12mths ago to the day, where has it gone?

There has been a lot of new members on here since then & thought we would share it again.

Over half of it was done during working life with some areas done several times.
We have since added the west coast & accross the bottom.

Still alot to do yet, looking forward to meeting a few more of you out there along the way. Safe travelling.

That's impressive! What about KI and Tassie?
The miles, the fuel and the tyres and spare parts.
How many vehicles have you done it in?

Hi JC, wow! I have not seen your map before either, but am quite impressed with it, and gives hubby & I 'food for thought' when he retires at the end of the year. Our dream is to see as much as possible, and oh, how we are looking forward to 'hitting the road' full time!

P.S. We haven't even been together 20 years! So have a lot to catch up on.

Hi there "20 years worth",

I bow to your experience, & do honour to your achievements. Even though my job requires continued updating of computer skills, this was my third attempt to join the Grey Nomad's Forum.

Thank you so much for your brilliant map of achievement, pray to God I can accomplish half as much before my travelling days are over.

If spelling & grammar falls short of perfection - please allow that my entire life to date has required me to be anal & that I am desperately seeking adventure & excitement whilst I am still able.

Hi CG, have done NZ twice, havent done Tassie. We should have shares in the oil companies by now but not holding my breath. A couple or three sets of rubber & very little in spare parts.
All in the one vehicle & still going strong,on the road as we speak. Dont think these new ones will have the same durability. The old tug will be 25yrs next year, guess it will want a key to the front door.LOL

Hi Flosculi and welcome. This is a great place and i am sure you will get many ideas.
The Theory of Miasms is something i understand. Am i right or wrong when relating that to personality types?

Hi again,
I SO want to become a part of this forum, & as I said have a so-called Website friendly job. However, I keep trying & keep getting knocked back. If it's so hard for me, with the suposedly computer literate background, then how on earth can the presumably illiterate (computer wise but definately not gramatically wise) Grey Nomad expect to communicate via your web. Please don't take this as critiscism, I think your site is brilliant, & I only want to join in.
Thanks
Frances
Wannago or
Flosculi

I'm not sure what your website finally accepted

Welcome Flosculi. You must be holding your mouth wrong.
Only joking. I'm no computer whizz, but this is one of the easiest forum formats I have ever come across. It's easier than my own site and my blog sites.
Maybe it's too easy. You may be expecting it to be more complicated than it is.
Anyway, now you're here enjoy.
There's always someone out there who is doing what we want to do, or want to do what we want to do - oh! You get it.
Tell us about your travel dreams and plans.

Thank-you Cruisin' Granny,
Maybe I am holding my mouth wrong or whatever! Any-way that's not the point is it? I'm here now & it's all about the travel. I (we) can't wait to get going. We've got from 20th - 24th December, 2010 & then again from 28th December 2010 until around 22nd January 2011 not too many hours of travel. Any suggestions? Complication of 2 little dogs. We have rung a couple of caravan sites from "Caravan Parks Australia Wide" with dog's allowed listings, only to be told that dogs are not allowed Christmas & Easter periods.

Great map JC. remember it now from last year. 18 years worth.
Still some blank spots for you to fill in over the next 20 years.
I started a map after seeing yours then, but somehow looks a little bare in comparison.
Better get a move on.

Fantastic map, what a great story that would tell.

Flosculi, not sure why you couldn't get on, I am permanently signed in so don't have to keep on trying. Re travelling with you dogs, why not try free camping, then you won't have the problems with the caravan parks.
Great book Camps Australia Wide will give you all the info.

Hi JC, good to see all those travels in the relevant "must fish zones". The manager and me are planning 6 weeks through NSW and VIC. in march /april next year and I'm not taking the roof topper (Quinnie traveller 370). It's gonna hurt.
