The water tower.DSCN1545.JPG  Not Augathella.  Not quite so low but closer to the coast.  There is a camp in town for the self-contained.

A big clue - as I've been out tonight and will be away again in the morning. The town is near these.  The people who painted these also painted the water tower and the water tanks and the murals in this town I believe.  So where am I?  Not Yelarbon.  Cheers.DSCN1513.JPG

I slowly realise as I get older that I am definitely NOT the fastest rat in the race.

Also the older I get the more I realise I do not know.

Well, I am embarrassed to say that I have not got a ready spot, that is to say a pic ready to post yet, so to keep it all moving I hand back to you Bill, serves me right!!!!! If you are less than ready then maybe Gaylehere as reward for such an intriguing effort just prior to this.
This will give me time to sort out a "RIPPA" which will keep us all going for ages, that is after I earn it with another correct answer.

I didn't recognise the park at first and then when you wrote near Canberra, penny dropped. I

Where are we now and always a special walk to the month of the river.

The broad walk is named after the town but the river has a different name.

I'll try Rockhampton as I have seen bulls around that city, but I know other places have them too.

I agree with your answer, Relax-n. Birchip.

There's a nice bakery nearby and the town featured on the ABC's Backroads some time ago.
