Thanks Bill, the name on the wall helped heaps.  Have not been there yet!   Where would you see this well known Western Australian beachside location.  Hope I am not being too vague on this.  Anyone who has been here will recognise the bike rack in the foreground.  Gwynnie  floating.gif

biggrin Nope...sorry Bill, disbelief no hmm  but a lovely place to stop over is Dunsborough, I thought Busselton was magic too with it's long jetty and unique sheltered ocean swimming pool, but stayed over nite at this place which is a few more kilometres along south/east corner. I am heading off to lawn bowls now, so catch you up  a little later.   Gwynnie   floating.gif

Oh, for those who don't know, Harvey Dicksons is a well known WA venue for country music and an annual rodeo. The photo was taken at the rodeo grounds. 3rd

Thanks for that newhorizons

Alas the music festival is no more, it has moved to the Boyup Brook town site, about five kilometres away

Where is this icon place, the tourist pictures show a much long distance picture, which do not show all the pit marks

It looks like Uluru/Ayers Rock where you can climb it but I don't think they let you climb it now.

Hi Sandy, I will wait on Tony Bev to respond to you.  But just wanted to say I was there last year and walked up the rock, but was led by a parks ranger, the climb can be closed on days of high winds.  aww     Gwynnie floating.gif

You are correct Sandy, it is indeed Ulura/Ayres Rock

I was there last winter, and the walk track was closed because of wind

The locals ask you not to climb it

What have you got for us all

Hi Keith P, Welcome to PTP. Photos don't have to be taken far away from your home. A lot of the photos I have posted in the past have been within a couple hundred kilometres away from where I live which I've taken on day drives. Photos from your area are a long way from WA or from me in Qld. Cheers and have a good day. Glad you joined in.

Top of the morning to all....  thought I may as well drop this photo is.  It is a regular free camping coastal.  The background will probably give it away to those who have stayed here?   Gwynnie  floating.gif
