Hi Jeff, biggrin biggrin  We do live on an island so many beach scenes are similar- however this is a sunrise not a sunset so not in the west.

HINT- I am looking from this free camp site across to a famous tourist spot in Tasmania!   (Looking in an easterly direction.)

Hey Dianne, while Jeff had a close guess of Swansea, you have correctly named the free camping ground. Yes it is Mayfield Bay Conservation park a well worth spot to camp for 48 hours maximum time period.  Well done!  Where to now.   Gwynnie  floating.gif

Gday...

Not Coral Bay, not SA, not Broome.

But this place is a bit like Broome and in a similar latitude - without all the tourists BUT ... it is a well known fishing town.

Cheers - John

Gday...

Not Shark Bay or Crowley beach.

My earlier clue - But this place is a bit like Broome and in a similar latitude - without all the tourists  BUT ... it is a well known fishing town.

So travel east from Broome - coz if ya travel west along the latitude of Broome you will get very wet feet.

A well-known professional fishing town - renowned for catching the best tasting and eating fish in Straya.

.... that's right Not WA ... not SA ... not NT.

cheers - John

Ya thinkin' the rite way Sandman - but I am not sure if Innisfail is a "A well-known professional fishing town - renowned for catching the best tasting and eating fish in Straya."

Ya went about 600Km too far east from Broome.

Cheers - John

This place was famous in the 60's. We've had it before with a very different photo.

No sure if my guess is correct as it looked a lot different when we were there in 1978.  But it is the Donald Campbell memorial at Lake Dumbleyung in WA??   Gwynnie floating.gif
