Where it all started.

Well we're back in Townsville where our roaming all started 4 years ago, nice and warm and how this place has changed in the time we've been gone, ring roads you can go from lavarack across the Ross river and up the upper ross without all the dramas we used to have. Bluewater van park is great $140 per week, hugh sites pet friendly, the strand is beautifull the whole town is very nice, gardens and trees and all so nice and green. Charters Towers next then south, we've done more travelling in all the other states then we have done in our own state, so time to do the inland lets hope the rain holds for a while for us.

We were in Townsville this time last year Colsa and were very impressed.  Loved The Strand.

Blue did a lot of work up there over the years.

When I leave Cairns in 2 weeks I'm heading to Charters Towers on the Wednesday. (Well that's the plan). I'm going to Kurramine the first 2 nights just to get back in "road mode".
I passed through Charters in '72 and something I recall from then has had me curious ever since. So I'm going to spend a few days checking it out.
Then it's westward ho to Three Ways, chuck a left and head south.

Now you have us in "suspenders" Christine.  What is it about Charter's Towers that's got you wondering?
