Does anyone know of boarding kennels in the Flinders Ranges where they will board for one day while we go exploring in to Wilpena Pound? I read about one caravan park who said they did and now cannot remember which one!!!!
Maybe Rawnsley?? I know they used to allow dogs there. Maybe if theres no official doggy babysitting, another traveller might swap a day with you... ie you mind theirs one day, they mind yours the next.
Thanks Gerty they have emailed me to say they are dog friendly. Also heard from Flinders Ranges caravan park in Hawker who are dog friendly too and they have cages to put the dogs in. Quite a difference in price, one being $24 the other $31 so maybe the cheaper one in Hawker.
Is that price per cage or per dog? They have doggy day care on Kangaroo Island, if you go there, just email the information centre and they will put you in touch with the kennels.
Cheers Allara

Hi, while we did not stay in the CP in Hawker, we did check it out, and it is a nice clean CP - and very friendly. We only stopped in cos we were told they had som Sturts Desert Peas in flower - which they were more than happy to show us. We were not travelling with dog at that time, so that was not an issue, but happy to hear that both Rawnsley & Hawker are dog friendly.

DUNMOWIN is no longer on the road and still DUNMOWIN!
Excellent news that more parks are becoming pet friendly. Maybe it's hard out there in park owner world and they have come to realize a dollar is a dollar.
