Pop top is hard to lift

Hi,

I hope someone can give me some guidance on making a pop top easier to lift.

I am looking to buy a used pop top and I am finding it difficult to lift the pop top.

Is there any device that I can get installed to make lifting the pop top easier, and if so, would there be a high cost attached to the modification?

Thanks for your help.

Keep Smiling :)

Gas struts tend to loose a bit of their strength after some time. You can replace them with stronger units , same dementions etc just higher presure.

After adding a solar to ours it was harder to lift so replaced them with one grade heavier at the rear & two grades heavier at the front where the solar is, made a huge difference. the struts are identifed by a number on them which determinds the pressure.Dont hold me to this but I think they were around the $20+ each.

Going this way means no other modifacation is needed. I looked at the air lifters , the price was $1100-$1200. needless to say I didnt get them.
