introduction

Hi all
Just a short intro my name is Chris and the beautiful wifes Vina we have been camping for the past 3 years when we could get away. We started off with a tent and tarp set up which soon grew into a camping trailer which by the way is for sale. Tomorrow we pick up our first campervan a coleman camper. I tend to only post a small amount of time but I love reading what others have to say and pick up lots of great ideas. Anyway bye for now and we hope to be able to hit the road one day.

Thats where we started, a Coleman Camper. Was really great. Had the annex as well. After several years we upgraded to a pop top, then another, then another, and we now have a 17 foot Imperial Pop Top.

As long as you're out there somewhere.

Ross

Welcom Chris & Vina, like you, we started off with tent and tar, upgraded for past 10 years in camper trailer. Just waiting now for our Kedron to be built, Feb 11. Agree with you, this site is so interesting to read. I often go to old messages just for a read.

Hi
We too are newbies, Michelle & Henry. We are in WA and about to start off for our first trip towards Cervantes. Can anyone give us ideas on which is the best sort of place to stay, and to meet other Nomads like us, 50+

Hi Michelle and Henry,

Welcome to the forum. The best way to meet people is simply to get out with them. Don't pick a spot off by yourself. Wave as you pass and a cheery 'G'day". Just remember that everybody is in the same situation.

Cheers and Happy Travels.

If you keep the forum updated on your travels, its not unusual to notice a post from somebody in the same area. Don't be shy to PM them . Most people are up for a meeting even if its only for an hour.

Thanks for the info. We to have a ford territory and are towing a Heritage. The big problem we are having within reading this forum is knowing where the places people talk about are. We know Nothing!!! However, I'm sure as time goes on we will learn....

Hey Shell, get your self a really good map book of Aus.  Everytime someone mentions somewhere and you dont know where it is, look it up on the map, google it on the internet. find out what is next door, what happens there, when it happens, what to do..... Become an expert!

It is not only fun organising the tow and tug, it is just as much fun planning and learning about all the places you can go in our beautiful country.  Just by joining this forum, you have taken a huge step in the right direction.

Have fun
