I have just been told that Maleny Showgrounds has camping for $15 per night. Does anyone know about this place. We would need to stay about two weeks so any info would be good.

Not 4 star but acceptable, our caravan club rallies there once a year, clean shower and toilets and nice town walking distance, very friendly. Good pub, woolies etc.

Don't know where the showgrownds are in Maleny but it can't be too far from Safesites place in the hinterland behind Eumundi. She is offering sites at ehr place for a small fee. Mentioned here in a couple of places.
I have been to Maleney Showgrounds in the past few weeks and the fee is $15 per campsite, however there are signs posted saying a max of 3 days. Many had obviously stayed longer than 3 days and from memory when I was there last year the ranger did state that was to give them the right to eject nuisance people. Caravan Clubs etc do have rallies there and when they do they take up most of the sites with power and casuals are excluded.
Maleny Showgrounds are closed at the moment for work on the sewerage lines. Ring the caretaker before you go. We were in Maleny Thursday 7/7 and it was all dug up
