feedback re duel battery with solar panel requirements


Good morning fellow GN's, once again due to my lack of technical experience could I ask the techies to comment on my proposed setup and use of equiptment.
 Our vehicle, 4wd triton dualcab will be our prime home away from home (rooftop tent) and our intention is to freecamp for longer periods than powered campsites.
Our trip destinations will take us North taking in the Savannah way to Broome; so extended periods of fridge cooling expected.

To cover our needs we have purchased a Waeco cf 50 12v/240 car fridge.
 We wish to run a duel battery with isolator switch to service waeco and the usual mobile ph/camera batteries and small laptop, camp lighting. I would like to keep things simple, but does anyone see a need for a invertor.

I am looking at something like the Flyer pack from sidewinder.com.au which takes up to 130amh battery. Blurb from website states twin cabling 10mm2 for their MK2 Flyer pack.
Question: Does the size of the battery require heavier grade wiring. I have read on another site that there is confusion in the Australian standards and that wiring should be 13.5mm2.........geez, I'm confused!

Ok, once this is sorted, what size solar panel/ built in regulator should I be looking at that with minimum sunlight charging hours per day to maintain charge in battery when off grid? ( say 3 to 4 days)
Is there a particular standard/quality solar panel that you would recommend?E Bay solar panels?

Waeco state cf 50 draws .83 amp ( maybe it does on the showroom floor but not in the real world; perhaps that figure triples in general use?)

PS: there is no space for 2nd battery in engine bay and I like the idea of portable power as preferred option.

The only reason for purchasing an inverter is to run items that have no 12 V equivalents. You can get chargers for most small items with rechargeable batteries.

The question is back to you. What are you proposing to run off it? We may be able to source a 12 V item to replace it.

G'day Peter, I cant see a need for a invertor but wanted to make sure that I wasnt overlooking something useful. As I said in the post, I want to keep it simple and 12volt fits the bill.
I just want to ensure that the type of battery and solar backup are adequate for off grid use. Since last post I have found that a 120amp AGM battery will take care of supply needs, with just the solar panel decision to be made.

what size solar panel/ built in regulator should I be looking at



The regulater needs to be as close to your battery pack as possible, not stuck on the back of the solar panel like the portable units.
