new ways of ripping more money off our savings

we all want to save money on our expenses so we use visa debit cards as a credit card to save giving fees the bank . now woolworths and big w are not accepting this form of payment forcing you use eftpos thus incuring a bank fee .dont know their reasoning but all other supermarketsare still taking this form off payment.has anyone else come across this snd what do you think .the bank fees may be not a lot but it all helps

Its been that way for the last couple of months, If you have the right bank account you can still use ,cr,sav ,or chq with a pin & no charges.

Another scam that NSW food outlets were pulling was the surcharge during Sundays public holidays . It's illegal to charge more than the stated menu price just because of the public holiday or special event. A survey by Consumer Affairs in my area found 80% of cafes were surcharging on those days but were let off with a caution

They can get around it by replacing the normal menu with one that has higher prices but nowhere are they allow to state that a surcharge applies on Public Holidays or Sundays

stick to the small local grocer, it will be cheaper in the long run, when the big corporates own all the fuel stations etc and the prices hike, then that will also be fuel rip off.
