Problems

G'day,

The topic "Missing Post" has been closed and quite rightly too.

I posted a reply on that topic and I quote:-  "Just ignore it all, it will all settle down in the future" unquote, to which Paddy had the following comment:-

With all due respect to you JRH ,saying it all will settle down in the future is like giving a pet dog a pat and saying "good Dog".What will settle down?is there a problem? No what this Forum needs is simply honest in put/out put.We all have our thoughts and opinions  about what makes the World go round, sometime we need to just sit back and think before we press the send key.Regards Paddy.smile

It has been my experience that if one ignores the type of people who are out to cause trouble then they soon get the message and go away, so I do not believe it is a case of patting the dog.  Ignore the troublemakers and they will crawl back into their hole and leave us alone.

I reckon if we all got back to the basics of this forum we'd get back to sharing a lot of info about the nomad lifestyle, and spreading the fun.
It's sad to think some contributors may be logging on to cause trouble. What's the point?
There really is nothing to be gained.
I'm a nomad and I love to share my travel tales and experiences, and if they help as well as entertain, then that's a good thing.
I don't tolerate abuse of any kind.
Let's think about good things.

Slow learner JRH.The topic was closed. Now accept that and start to be positive instead of picking holes and looking for faults in peoples posts. As a relativley new member to this Forum I find that you are probably one of the main reasons that members will not post for fear of being accused of being Trolls, stirring Newbies etc.I am now patting the dog,am I one of the ones who should crawl back into a hole.Lets see your reply.Paddy.

John, we have been here a long time and seen this forum grow, and produce some fine members. I hope you take your own advise and ignore the trouble making newbie.

When a post is made for the sole purpose of having a go at an individual, and not to discover and generate a better forum, they are best ignored. Why they posts when they have little to add but hostility. Some people have no respect and obviouse other agenda's.

Leave em mate, not worth the print, and the rest of us will get on with positive inputs.

And what do you do when the trouble-makers either don't believe or know, that it is they themselves who are causing the problems ?

I've just joined, but have been watching for some time.  Had second thoughts for a while about coming here, but I'll give it a go, and see what happens.

It's up to the old hands to keep things nice and create a good impression here.
This site and forum is much too valuable to lose or put into disrepute, and we should all work together to keep up the standard.
The troublemakers will be weeded out in good time.
Some of the oldies may do it, or the webmistress may do it, but please leave it for now.
It's nice and peaceful, and let's keep it a happy place with good, happy, positive communicaiton.
I personally am over the unpleasantness, and I'm sick of seeing good info on forum threads getting binned because of riff and raff stuffing it up.

Yipee! You beauty! That worked.
I was attempting to change the subject.
Paddy, I still don't know what sort of dog.
Keep smiling fellow nomads or potential nomads. It is a good life.
