DOLPHIN TORCHES;

It appears you can no longer buy bulbs for a dolphin torch at any of the regular outlets.hardware,motor accessory,supermarkets,spare parts etc.All want to sell complete unit,what a waste.

Finally found some today at a huge camping store at Nerang,QLD.
They knew of the decline in general stockist & were loaded up with them.
Smart move.

You must have the only reliable Dolphin torch in captivity,....

Unless you modify them to take D cells they'll break you keeping batteries up to them.

Been using them for many years & always good.
As for batteries,buy a 6volt rechargable from a  battery centre & just recharge off a battery charger.
Even before the spring top connection type were available we used the smaller size
6volt with push on type connections , solder two wires to the head section contacts,
connect to battery , wraped a peice of spong around the battery to keep it in place.
These batteries last for years.

The Krypton bulbs have been around for years , I avoid them as they fail to easly when bumped.

Bunnings had a quartz bulb, $12,  & $14 for a torch.how stupid.

DeBe, thats the ones, your sitting on a gold mine.LOL
I should take them off your hands or may be you will reinvest in a new torch with a rechargable battery,I still think they are the best.

I got sick of buying Dolphin torches, so I spent the big bucks and got a MAG- LITE best investment I ever made, good as a spotlight or is adjustable as wide beam
