theres a FOR SALE sign being erected out the front of my house

Firstly welcome to the many new members that have appeared while we have been up the south coast battling the tourists. And yes we are finally selling and moving to Streaky Bay hopefully it wont take any more than a few months. Out tennant is moving out so thought may as well make the change now rather than later i am so looking forward to holidaying in all parts of South Australia i havent been to for years once we are living there. We are heading over there on feb 24 for three weeks the new boat is supposed to be here in 10 days so had better catch lots of fish. Neil and Lynne when are you heading east again I saw on a comment on a previous thread maybe march we will be there till the 18th. We will be back an forward a lot over the next 4 months taking a few things over there because im a bit worried everything wont fit in the container we are buying. I suppose when i get there i will have to change my allegiance and become a crows or port supporter as everyone in town is one or the other. biggrin cheryl

smileCongratulations on a great decision. I spent much of my youth in that area living at Smokey Bay (about 60k north of streaky) A great part of our great everywhere. noSeriously though surely you couldn't consider supporting Port Power.disbelief

Congratulations on the decision and the proposed move.
I love that part of the country, except for the winters.
Now if I were you I wouldn't change your footy loyalty for anyone.
Stick to you guns and when they play an SA AFL team and it's on the TV, head to the pub and see what happens.
I'd like to see that!
Have they built anything on the block next to the hall and Council offices, where the bakery and my house used to be? The fire happened in '84.
Keep me posted.

Hi Guys, congratulations on making the decision.  Like you, our For Sale sign went up last Friday.

Because of the selling and organising a block & house etc we will be late getting away if in fact we DO get away this year.

If we don't, we will be over there early next year at the latest which should give you plenty of time to sus the good KG spots. lol

Cheers and see ya's soon

thanks everyone it sounds like it could be quite a party the garage is big enough and the view from it pretty impressive. Chris yes they built a shop next to the council and it has had a couple of different businesses in it but the bakery has now moved back in there it was across the road next to becks before. A bit of a shame Drongo and Wendy i will be back in Corowa in April have to go to melbourne to see my favourite team melbourne Storm play rugby and my daughter coming down from Broome to go and my mum from berry so not missing that.  And no tezza couldnt bring myself to go for Port I lived in Adelaide 20 years ago and it was a case of you are Port or you are not. I do have a soft spot for the crows always refer them as my no2 team. So i will be up at the pub when Brisbane lions play with scarf hat and shirt on cheering them on I will be the only one in town doing it though. Neil and Lynne make sure you drop in when your over that way you know where i live (or will live).  And will give you plenty of notice dave when the keg is chilled and ready for drinking. Can taste it now beer wine oysters kg whiting sounds good. cheryl. PS Neil and Lynne the jetty is open again

Hate to say it, BUT...the jetty is closed again!

They opened it temporarily to cater for the school holiday travellers but have now closed it again to complete the repairs.

The expectation is to be finished in a month from now.  One can hope.

Say Hi to Jen at Beck's.  smile

Cheers Neil
