NOTICE ,,, GOOD NEWS ;

Yes , its finally happened , telstra big pond has cut their prices & contract lengths ,
New contracts have much cheaper fees & reduced time frames .
Existing contractes can be restructed to save money .
Also no penalties for going  over  your allocated usage  .
We just rehashed ours today on a fairly new contract & have saved 33% of the original price .

What are you still sitting there for ? on the  phone & save your self some money .

G'day just cruisin' ,actually those new plans and prices have been available from the 18th jan. I rang telstra on that day and changed mine from 5gb to 3gb and saved $40 pm.But because my usb modem was included in the original contract term i cannot change it. But that does not worry me.

Have they brought about new fees for mobile phone and internet?
I've just replaced my mobile wireless card on Monday because the other one became extremely unreliable and died after only 3 months.
My internet plan is unlimited for 3 yrs at $44.98 per month - half of the original plan. The special applies for the first 12 mths and then it's back to top dollar.
But I do want to keep track, and will change it if it means I benefit in the long run.
Perhaps the pressure from other providers has forced them to knock their prices down.
I use quite a lot of internet for my writing research.

incorrect , reduced fees & half price for the remaining of the first 12mths , then 2/3rds of the original for next 2yrs on ours . Depends on where you are up to with existing contract .

Mmm, I might make some enquiries of my own.
Anything I can do to get the most out of them.
They give me so much grief with my accounts. They're full of irrelevant details, but can't send me an itemised account for amounts I know nothing about, including an alleged overdue amount from July last year which they are unable to justify, which I have records of paying. They claimed they wrote it off, but every month there it is again. To add insult to injury they keep charging overdue fees.
I feel sorry for the Telecommunication Ombudsman. He/she must get so many complaints about Telstra/Bigpond. Gee they get it wrong, oh, so wrong, and oh, so often.
If I could get the coverage I get with them I'd be gone, but...........

Our home phone and internet is also with iprimus and have not had one complaint, was with Bigpond for 2 years and had loads of trouble with Telstra.  After I closed my Bigpond account they kept sending me bills and they are still sending them 'though now they say they are giving me a credit for the money I never paid to them in the first place.  They must have some right dimwits working in their accounts department.

Yep possibly so but the buggers dont advertise it or let you know of the changes
that may save us money , we have to do all the leg work .

However if we owe them some thing they are quick to advise us.
It seems to me these days we have to do our job as well as that of the businesses
that we have to deal with & watch every move they make so we hopfully are not ripped off.
