just like to introduce ourselves

biggrinwink Howdy fellow travellers, on behalf on my missus (Rose) i would like to introduce myself. My real name is Dave , but have been known as crocodile for gawd knows how long. I think i got that nickname from my many years as a truckie running around the countryside of Northern nsw (grafton) out west to Gundy and north to Murgon/goomeri way. at the moment our tug vehicle is a 2008 ford terrritory 6speed auto, 6cyl AWD towin a millard pop-top 16'6". I have my nickname on back of van and advertise i use channell 40 ( i still got truckie's diesel in my veins)
Hope to catch up with you fellow nomads sometime, (although missus and i haven't gone grey yet..

take care all

I still use channel 40 too Crocodile. Old habits are hard to break and at least you get a fair warning as to any road blocks, accidents, wide loads etc. Not to mention some very happy chappies some of the time...........or not....

Oh and welcome to the forum you are gonna love it here.

HI Dave & Rose & welcome! We live in the area you mentioned(Sth Grafton) when not on the road & are here now for a couple of weeks seeing family then heading off again going south to escape the heat. I'll keep an eye out for a mobile crocodile when traveling if you keep an eye out for a jabiru which is the name of our traveling abode.
Cheers
Jon & Hylda

Nice of you to join the Grey Nomads Forum.
It's a great place to share travel experiences, and anything else you'd like to share.
It's also a fun site where some of the jokes are more fun than others, depending on the jovial individual at the time.
I also pay close attention to UHF 40 monitoring road conditions and the antics of other drivers. I also pay close attention to my rear vision mirrors.
Safe and happy travels wherever you go, and I look forward to hearing more of your adventures. Just watch for the tyre covers.

Thanks for the invite Elaine, Hylda is the tea drinker as I don't like tea or coffee, tend to be a bourbon drinker if the hour is right,  but she won't have to twist my arm too far for us to pop in  & say hello.
Since I have spent most of my life in Sydney we will be spending a couple of weeks at least there so will be down your way sometime late Feb early March at a guess.
Cheers
Jon

take care all the best for your travels we are here in the glasshouse mountains just bought an acre with a nice house on it lots to do though , specialy for making the driveway a lot better to get the trucks up the back

Hi Crocodile and Rose,

Welcome From Robyn and Ted.
We're about to take to the road for most of the year and will be heading north when the weather starts to deteriorate down South.  Make sure you get some Greynomad stickers for your van and car to make it even easier to spot you.
