RE: welcome to all the new faces

Thank you guys yes he is a dear little man ,when he was 3mth old he was living west of melbourne 3 hours to be exact born in horesham ,he had his first shot and one side of his face did not respond, this led the nurse to believe that he had bells palsy, the doctor then said not it does not occur in babies, so they said take him straight to royal melb hospital there he was given an mri and yes behold a rare tumour, he was then opened up by cutting his little head open from top to bottom behind his ear as its sitting on the left central lobe behind the ear, weve had some terrible times, my daughter split up with her partner which was a good thing and returned to us tolive with us till she got on her feet, but we have seen dear little ryan at times and thought hes not coming home ,he catches everything that goes around so doesnt put on much weight so hes quite thin, hes a little ratter now but he still gets sick, as a baby he had so many temperatures that were frightening, and then he seemed to figure out what that horrid medicine we were giving him was doing to him as we were giving it oral.

so then it was a fight to give him his chemo, he would kick and we would have to pin him down and then he learnt to gurgle so it didnt all go down and your not supposed to get any on your skin, try doing that with a screaming baby gurgling and carrying on whilst pinned to the floor.

but alas hes a grown little man now and even though the tumour is not gone we lovehim and cherish all the time we get to spend with him, his mum has met a wonderful man whos a landscaper and they live in brisbane now so a little further from us so we dont get to see little ryan much anymore ,took him to the croc zoo over xmas he thoroughly loved it.
Thank you all and ill keep you posted hes only just got over a virus that is going around so once again has lost weight , but he will get it back in time. cheers for now

Hello ALL you 'crazy old people' (ha hah), we're new and would like to thank you for the "Welcome" note found while searching around this site ....

By the way, we're 'crazy not-so-old people' ourselves, so if there's any offence taken - apologies in advance!! biggrin

Here's a handshake" from us to you as well handshake.gif

As for us, we're NEW on the nomad travel scene, just left Melbourne to get to our first stop in East Gippsland (see our profile details), and we've been STUCK HERE for some 2 1/2 months already jawdrop.gif!!!!
Bummer frustrated.gif all these "little things" keep breaking down .... is it telling us something ????

We too love to chat and look forward to meeting & making new friends while on the road ....

BTW (by the way) "Snail Blazer" is the name of our camper/trailer that we mostly built ourselves - Snail: carry our whole house with us, Blazer: going to new places we've never been....

Our troopie (1981 FJ45 LWB) is called "Elly" short for elephant: Big & Slow but keeps on chugging through the bush.
We also have a 'tinnie' (3.25m car topper) and we call her "Putt Putt": we just putt along slowly with her 8hp Yamaha.

What else can we say .... LOVE to chat .....

Looking forward to more 'online' conversations & of course face 2 face ones too.

Until the next time Stay Well & Happy - Ted & Rosie.
