Info on a Caprice Eclipse please

Hello all, a newby on this forum and I am interested in purchasing an  2000, 18' tandem wheel Caprice Eclipse. Asking price is $22,000.
I have had no luck in getting any info about the Caprice on the internet, if anybody could offer some words of wisdom about this type of van it would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.

cheers GBF49

Welcome from me too.
Can you check out the relevant websites to find more info?
I don't think they're building them anymore, but there must be some info out there, and former and present owners must be able to answer some of your questions.
It's a very frustrating situation. Maybe just go with your instincts. If it looks to be in good condition, in your price range what else is there?
Maybe take a van-owning mate with you to check it out and give it the once over. Tyres, wheel bearings, chassis strength, structure and condition, brakes, water tanks - the basic stuff, then the interior general condition, how it's been maintained, extras and their condition, and most of all, does it suit your needs.
Most of these things can be updated and maintained before you hit the road. Safety and quality are what you're looking for. Good luck with that.

Thank you both for your comments, smile
The caravan has been under cover on blocks for the last six years, it seems to be in very good condition so we purchased it this afternoon. I still can't find anything on the web about a Caprice. Maybe they were taken over by another firm.
