Thanks for the info on the Guidebook.

...... and something to ponder...............

BBQ   RULES
We are about to enter the BBQ season.

Therefore it is important to refresh your memory on the etiquette of this sublime outdoor cooking activity.
When a man volunteers to do the BBQ the following chain of events are put into motion:

Routine...

(1)
The woman buys the food.

(2) The woman makes the salad, prepares the vegetables, and makes dessert.

(3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils and sauces, and takes it to the man who is lounging beside the grill - beer in hand.

4) The woman remains outside the compulsory three meter exclusion zone where the exuberance of testosterone and other manly bonding activities can take place without the interference.

5) THE MAN PLACES THE MEAT ON THE GRILL

6) The woman goes inside to organize the plates and cutlery.

7) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is looking great. He thanks her and asks if she will bring another beer while he flips the meat

8) THE MAN TAKES THE MEAT OFF THE GRILL AND HANDS IT TO THE WOMAN.

9) The woman prepares the plates, salad, bread, utensils, napkins, sauces, and brings them to the table.

10) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.

11) Everyone PRAISES the MAN and THANKS HIM for his cooking efforts.
The man asks the woman how she enjoyed 'her night off.'
Upon seeing her annoyed reaction he concludes that there's just no pleasing some women...

I dont know the wife buys them, but I would imagine not cheap same as all seafood, I heard on the grapevine that whiting filletts were selling for $50 per kilo, cant be right surely!!

thinking about buying another old boat again and get out amongst them once more, cant find an old clinker with a yanmar diesel in like my old one had, she was a good boat!

I'm looking at a 15 footer open with a 50 horse outboard, old but well looked after

According to those who catch KG Whiting they're very grateful they don't have to buy them. There have been some giants caught off southern YP recently. The price sounds pretty close to what I have been told over the past week.
If you can get a licence in the fishing game it's sure to be a winner. The trick is to get a licence.
It seems all the good fish are fetching big prices.
My daughter presented me with a Crayfish for New Year. And it was good too. I did share it, and they enjoyed it too.

Yes Rosey I had a great 12 days with my eldest daughter and her 2 boys. The hot, dry SA weather knocked me around a bit though.
She's renovating the house she's renting with the approval and cash of the landlord. He doesn't want to know about the WORK, but he's happy to pay for the paint etc. So of course, I pitched in as much as my wounds would allowed. Scraping wallpaper, holding ladders, sweeping up mess, removing staples where the carpet and underlay once were - that sort of thing.
I was kept busy, taking time for the beach with her dogs, and all sorts of stuff - but NO shopping.
But now I'm back, but I promise to be nice.

Yes. Visiting the rellies is fun in small quantities. Luckily my rellies are far away. An uncle in Bowen, Sisters in Sth Qld.All far enough away to make it worthwhile. My uncle in Bowen is 80 on 30th jan, and all the ferals are coming for a big shindig!Last party there, I put 4kg of endeavour prawns on the table and they lasted 15minutes!But they are all good working people, most of them, anyway, and lots of great places to explore on the way. One sister lives at Noosa, another on Stradbroke island, So I force myself to visit them. Hope you are convalesing well. Bill

Thanks Bill, I am recovering very well. The change in my day to day health is amazing after suffering those symptoms for more than 25 years until medical science revealed the cause. I'm lucky I reckon.

I am glad you are feeling better. Alot of my friend arehaving health probs, and I want to travel while I am reasonably healthy. Give me a yell when you are in my neck of the woods, and I will either take you fishing or you can come for a sail. I also have a 9m cat sailing boat.Winter is the best. Bill

Thanks for the invite Bill. I'll certainly look you up when I'm down your way. I'd be happy with any of those on-water adventures. Just love it!
I retired because of my health and took to the road to do this while I still could. Now, I could be doing it a whole lot longer.
Bless medical science!

My friends tell me I,m very retiring, but I,m too healthy, and the army tells me that I can,t get a pention till 65. being a tradesman in the army , you didn,t get shot at- who would fix the bent trucks and tanks. So they reckon , I have never been in battle, -talk to my ex- so , I still have to work.Taking people fishing is still work, and anybody who thinks different should buy the business. I would love to be supported by the state, but now I just go touring when I can. 13 weeks, last year.I suppose you have to work sometimes. Bill
