Then there was that number one hit in the 60's, "There's a moose loose aboot this hoose". A song we all remember and love.

Said without the Scottish accent, would that be:

"There's mouse louse about this house?"

It's actually quite funny that this is coming up again. In about 1984 when Skylab came back to earth, I was driving Interstate Coaches for Ansett Pioneer and on that night I was driving from Ceduna to Adelaide.

Because they were unsure about where Skylab was actually going to come down, we were making jokes about it and I made myself an alfoil hat to protect myself. Some of the passengers had a good giggle and some probably thought I was nuts ..............BUT..........it worked !! Skylab came down in W.A. about 1 in the morning and we were safe!!

So say what you like about them................there is living proof that they work!!

Yep Smokedk.................that was a big 24hrs in Australia. Especially for the emergency services ......and everybody was told they weren't allowed to touch anything if they found something. Scared we would get it first!! LOL.

We actually saw a couple streaks through the sky that night as we drove down to Adelaide but they were probably ordinary shooting stars. It was a fun night though!!

Yep....got the Whole State worried if I recall...........................

It could land anywhere on Earth, raining fiery debris on unsuspecting people. And their property.

They almost succeeded, as most of the station's fiery debris fell in the Indian Ocean off the Australian Coast. Nevertheless, multiple pieces of Skylab have been found in the sparsely populated grasslands of western Australia. Nobody was injured. But the U.S. State Department received a $400 fine for littering from the authorities in the town of Esperance, Australia

I'm glad you you noticed that little point.
Women's hairdressers really know how to charge.
The difference in prices between hairdressers and barbers is quite significant.
I always wear my hair short, no fancy styling. The difference can be $20 just for changing the door I walk in.
Barbers don't do colours and "foils" though.
I do my own colour at home. I forgotten what my original colour was, and I couldn't tell you how much grey I've grown in the last 5 or 6 years.
In fact I'm going for a "head job" this arvo.
Basil, if you cut your foils in those measured strips and offer them to the local hairdress for a reasonable rate, you could be on to a lucrative little side line there. Sort of cottage industry, or is that a salon industry?

Is that a CBJ or BBBJ Granny? and how much does a head job cost you anyway? I can get one in Canberra for around $40 - in fact I'm contemplating one now....

Tell me, can you pick up the cricket when you orient your self towards the best signal? it would save buying a tv aerial.

Thanks for that Basil. Now we need a site to take us through the various grades of alfoil and the best applications for it.

Terro.
