Yep, will give you feedback as to what is the outcome. As yet I haven't had time to get at it as I'm in my working week, 12hr. shifts etc. Hope to get at it later in the week. Merry Christmas to all of you and thanks for all your help, my head is spinning with all the advice

Possibly caused by your alfoil hat fetish, too much of it can stunt your growth, send you blind, make your hair fall out and make grumpy and crotchety or maybe we're all just getting a little bit on the mature side of life

My missus refuses to knit me one, besides I'm a slow learner, need lots of intructions and have to be shown many times how to do the job and by then of coarse it is done so I don't get any practice.:):)

wouldnt be too sure about that, I'm pretty thick, I'm still working when all my high school friends are retired or on a pension

Try cutting it into about 1/8th or 1/16th inch strips. Unroll the whole roll first and cut length-wise, or you'll have too many joins.

A better idea Xina is to run it through a shredder. That way you get all the pieces the same width!!

What is wrong with a wonky knitted alfoil beanie....noone said they had to be straight??

You could use wonky needles................or get seriously in to the RUM and a couple of raisins ice cream.....then it really wouldn't matter eh!!

Perhaps someone could advise the Defence Department of the beneficial effects of an alfoil encased head,a discreet lining inside a diggers hat may overcome the effects from electromagnetic pulse (EMP) or they could stand on each others shoulders and be a radar beacon
