Deflapper replaced.. but now a leak....bugger

Good news!  I got the broken deflapper replaced with a new one and surprise! surprise! it has a metal part instead of the plastic part that broke in the first, I bought another pair so will now have 2 on either side to add to the 2 spring loaded tie down cords on the corners.

On leaving Bundaberg we hit an extremely heavy downpour & the caravans rooftop popup hatch decided to leak for the first time & wet our bed, it seems to look ok & the seals are fine so not sure how it happened, it's as if it may have lifted a bit with the wind.

We have now moved on to Woodgate Beach CV in a much more sheltered spot but still about 50mtrs from the beach so we're happy

ah! obviously not the first one to break then, for them to replace the plastic with a metal one, obviously some design engineer got it wrong again

good to hear all is well! travel safe

The memories of Woodgate are not too good for us. We stayed there for a week and last year and it absolutely poured down all the time. Plenty of mud but I must say the park was beaut and the facilities some of the best we've seen. We left there to go to Rainbow Beach, never made it. Wrote the van off near Tin Can Bay. I know it's not the fault of Woodgate. It is a part of the overall memory. I have resolved to revisit one day and get the best out of the place. I fancy the beach for a bit of fishing.
