GUYRA

We spent last night at the Mother of Ducks lagoon in Guyra.

For those of you who don't know where Guyra is, its north of Armidale and South of Glen Innes in NSW.

Toilets are about the only facility there and are very clean. It is  only one street back from the main street and overlooks the golf course.

Gurya is only a small town and closes down from midday Saturday like most country towns.

We felt more than safe and it was very peaceful.

It will go into our book of places to re-visit.

If you turn towards Ebor and when you get there, turn onto the road to thr Styx river, which is great place . Camp right beside cyrstal clear stream full of small rainbow trout. No facilities , but just a lovely spot out in the bush with the king parrots.supplies at Ebor Or Guyra.some dirt road but not too bad. very cold at times-1100 m up !I try to stop there at least once a year.Ebor falls is worth a look and the park beside the river there is nice , too. There are daisies everywhere.smile.gif Bill

Stayed there the weekend after Mothers' Day in 2008. Woke to find the motorhome covered in snow and couldn't see the golf course. Took a walk down to the toilet block in thongs - never again. First snow of the season and earlier than usual, yet we weren't aware of it falling during the night.
