Streaky Bay not dog friendly noooooo

Very disappointed in my favourite town in Australia. Taking the dog over there in March to test out her fishing skills and as we are towing the boat cant tow anything else. And a list a mile long of holiday houses and not one that allows pets. I know the caravan park does but im getting too old to spend a week in a 3 man tent with hubby and the dog. Luckily found anice beach house 60k away at Venus Bay overlooking the water where the dog is allowed to stay and inside as well. I emailed them they rang me two hours later so I guess we will be fishing the waters of Venus Bay this time around. Also checked a lot of other Eyre towns and they werent exactly keen on the dog factor anywhere. There was 1 in Whyalla 1 in Port Lincoln 1 in Kimba and that was about it so the east coast does have something to be proud of dog friendly accomodation up and down its coast line. chezgodisbelief

Unfortunately it's the people who travelled with dogs who stayed there before you who stuffed it up for future dog-loving tenants.
Another reason I don't have a dog to travel with. Too many retrictions.

Yes, but with some considerations. If you can get a Dr, usually a psychiatrist or pshcholigist to certify that your dog is a companion dog you can apply for a Companion Dog pass and that will open doors.  Once you get that then you can get your dog registered as an assistance dog with the council if you want to.
The difficult part is getting a medico to state categorically that you need to travel with an assiasnce animal, I'll find the letter my shrink composed if you like and PM it to you. Of course your dog has to be trained....
The other way is to do the "government training exam" for the dog and handler, ususally thoriugh the RSPCA....
