Uh oh, a break in!!

Hi Guys and Gals!!
Yip, I'm still in Katherine and working hard, hence the quiet!
I met Mike47 and nearly jumped the counter to say hello I was so thrilled to meet
another Grey Nomad!!
Anyway, that night I a local blk fella decided he liked the look of the m/home and
smashed a side louvre window, renched the rest out along with the fly screen, and
proceeded to load all my stuff into his waiting shopping trollies!!!!!!
Some wise CMCA member in the next carpark got suspicious and rang the police. Fortunately they were handy, and got there quick smart and caught the blighter!!
I got most of my stuff back, but the damage was quite bad. Broken glass, blood, ransacked inside etc. Ken Tame Ins has been looking after me nicely though. No worries, just waiting for the window to come from Winnebago in Sydney.
It could have been worse.
After bush fires, heat waves, broken clutch, swine flu and now a breakin do you think I am being tested?? You bet, and I am certainly up to the challenge. Still wouldn't change what I am doing!! It all adds colour to the adventure.
Keep on trucking all!!
Cheers,
Dianne

thats the way Dianne, katherine has always been pretty bad for lightfingers, but the police normally know who they are, trouble is the punishment is not being metered out by the courts and so there is no consequence for the offender

Bloody hell! Did you kill a chinaman sometime back?
It must be your turn for some good stuff. It's a shame you've had such a rough run.
At least it hasn't deterred you from travelling.
Once again, another lesson learned. Make sure nothing of value is left on a bench near the door or under windows.
I'm glad your insurer has been helpful and cooperative. Sometimes they can be a real pain. The fact the Police were called, and attended always help with insurance matters.
From now on I wish you safe and happy travels and keep a smile on your dial. Cheers Chris

Ken Tame are fabulous to deal with. They certainly do look after you. And promptly.
Found a "property sit" north east of Perth for a month beginning 20th, before heading back up to a working cattle station south of Carnarvon for paid work.....hope you're fixed up quickly....may catch up yet..cheers Sue

It's got to be all good from now on Dianne, so we will all keep our fingers crossed that there are no more surprises for awhile.

Good luck in future,

Vic
