(Glade)Airwick battery operated air-freshener

I have found the information: courtesy of Frank & Brenda from "Caravaners Forum"

Frank & Brenda on Tue Jun 30, 2009 7:57 pm

G'day,
Here's the one I made, bought the unit from Woolies (GLADE) not Airwick, used it at home till all perfume used up, cut the "bottle" off the iside and retained the battery holder then cut it up and added a little mesh and a spray with some silver paint, had it 2 years and the bateries sill going (not full time of course).

SORRY it seems I can't put in a photo, have a look at the thread from CandM forum below. post #8 is mine with thw photo

As somebody on the same forum has pointed out, a small computer fan will do a similar job.
It does require to be wired to the 12v system though.

I got one this arvo, not sure whether it's a Glade or an Airwick.
There was only one in stock, but I'm sure the girls at work won't mind that I knocked it off outa their dunny.

This is it with the cover removed

Just to let everyone know, that if they are interested in purchasing one of these air fresheners for using in their 3-way fridges after the smelly stuff has run out, you have to be quick as I have been told that they are being discontinued or repackaged.
I purchased the last one, in one of the major department stores at Rockingham over the weekend, and enquired about the stock being replenished, as I was going to buy extras for my mates. It was then that the store person went away to check and came back with the information.
