memory

On reading all the various posts from all you travellers it brings fond memorys of when I was there at some of these places,
Funny thing but,----- that it takes a word or a pic to remember
At my age I am sure my mind is as good as ever, by that I dont mean I am suffering any major problems
But I get annoyed at me when somebody writes a post on something that I should have remembered
On entering a town that you havent been in for some years, it takes a certain cnr, or building to jog your memory, or maybe its ---deja-vue, been there in another life
I have wandered all over this country for 40 years
any others in the same boat,

all the bloody time, after placing a post then I remember something else that I should have put in, often, thankfully, it is put in by somone else most of the time

but you are not alone in forgetting things and places, it also works the other way and sends us down memory lane and finds us revisiting certain places through photo cd's which can be very pleasant

Thanks Mike
For expressing how I was feeling reading posts about travelling up the centre. Spent 6 years in that country, read the posts and yep, memories came back. Struggled to remember names of towns, what they looked like (then) and wondered what they are like now.

Good memories

Bloody age.

I am sure we are all in the same boat. But can this be said just for the not so young or were we like this when we were younger and just don't remember because we didn't have time to reflect or care?

Ahhhh isn't it great to be growing older smile.gif

Happy memories.

Does Viagra restore the fella's memory, or just bring the memories back?
That's the blokes sorted.
Now, what about we women? What do we do to restore our memory and bring the memories back?
Maybe a second honeymoon after our bloke's been on Viagra for a couple of months.
That's the couples sorted.
Now what about we singles?
The mirror is the wrong reference point. Any ideas?

I think a lot of us suffer from CRAFT (Can't remember a flaming thing) and have seniors moments. I know I am getting worse, even posting sometimes I forget who I am answering and have to search the posts again to get the right poster!

Funny thing is, it is something like over 45 years since I was in the Army and 31 years ago since I was in the RAAF, yet I can remember both my Service numbers as clear as a bell like it was yesterday.

Perhaps I am remembering just in case they form a "Dad's Army" and I have to rejoin, lol!
