What a Woman.

On our way back from Grafton on thursday I saw a Lady who can only be described as very brave or very lucky. She was a passenger in a sidecar that was obviously from the USA or Europe, the sidecar was mounted on the right hand side of the bike, hence the passenger was facing on coming traffic near the center of the road.100 kph facing a B double coming towards you perhaps a mere couple of feet away, fearsome.Anyone else see the couple heading up north?Cheers Ibbo.biggrin

The bottom line is she survived. Nothing happend. No prang.
Probably, and hopefully, lesson learned.
Every time we take to the road, the potential for something other than a safe arrival is always there.

I haven't seen them up this far yet.

I do recall confronting a triple Western Star barrelling down at me on my side of the road. The van and I went bush. Thank goodness for WA wide verges.
Not the truckies fault. A couple of tourists in a rented mobile something parked not quite off the road to read a map. The truckie had no where else to go.
We all made it safe and well, and that's the bottom line.
Keep safe and well. Cheers Chris

one of the sad facts about this situation is that if anything had happened the truckie would get the blame regardless of who was at fault.

I have had many many years associated with the trucking industry, including driving semi trailers myself, and a son who has carried on the family tradition and unfortunately all the facts are not quite reported as in actuallity and the preconcieved mind set of many who automatically come to the conclusion that the truckie is at fault without knowing the circumstances.

Just really glad that nobody was the worse for ware in your situation CG.
