Bushy Parker Campground

What a bonzer little spot! (Not so little actually.)

Bushy Parker Bush Camp, to give it it's correct title is about 60 kms north of Townsville and is idyllic. Great swimming hole, bags of shady trees, nice level grassed sites and it's free. Signs say that the maximum stay is 48 hours and only one stay per week, but it's a long weekend, the ranger won't be back at work until Tuesday, so I'm going to stretch it a bit and take off again on Thursday morning. Next stop El Arish.

There are about 30 vans/motorhomes here at the moment because of the long weekend, but a couple of locals have said that there are often only three or four units here. Don't miss it if you're up this way.
