Sorry that I can't help you with your request but, generally speaking, any place beyond the predations of suburban hoons and idiots will be safer than living within an urban environment.

Hi Katrina,

It's a bit hard to make suggestions without knowing what area you are looking at. Can you give us some more details? i.e. South East, Nullarbor, Far North, Riverland etc.

May I suggest you get a copy of Camps 5, which lists all of the free and baudget sites in all states.

Some i centres have it, but mostly I have seen them in the stores which sell camping equipment like BCF, Ray's Outdoor etc.

You can also buy it online at www.campsaustraliawide.com

I am guessing you have found a copy of camps 5 by now? I free camped most of the way around Eyre Pen. last year with Clancy and had no trouble at all - there are some really lovely free camps to enjoy!

Have a good time.

Yep !  sure is in Kalangadoo.
Only 44km North from Mount Gambier.
My new abode.
Dual access for van/camper etc.
Can set up in my 4 bay shed with power .
Or on the green lawn areas...your choice.
Slowly renovating the bathroom / toilet( Very good as is right now) and have a 2nd toilet just inside back door.
Town water is reasonably high in calcium ( not recommended for drinking, but great for showers etc.)
I will soon have rain water tanks. Err! the trades person reponse down here is typical country..Slow!
Anyway, if you plan travelling by and want a stop over, then please give me a IM.
Kalangadoo is the Southern end of the Coonawarra wine region.  Naracoorte caves are close by, as is South End, Robe etc for coastal fun and fishing, Port Mc Donald for crays, as is Beachport.
Can use my office /study 3rd bedroom(Divan / double bed)for internet etc..too easy. And 2nd bedroom, 2 singles always available.
Don't be shy like me..
Anyway, my place is yours..Everyone is Welcome.
