Possible chat room on forum

Hi everyone

Just sitting at the computer and wondering if any interest in something like this /or if possible where you can chat on line (?) see what is happening day to day as opposed to topic chat ?

Like an electronic "happy hour "

Quite often I log in just to see if anything new posted that I can respond to but miss the instant interaction aspect.

Anyway hopefully will create some food for thought out there.

Mike

PS would also suggest there has been a gaining of activity and momentum on the forum of late.

Currently I am in training to do a walk from Falls Creek to Mt Hotham and back again in Vic on the labout wkd. About 40 k round trip. A  bit anxious re fitness but looking forward to spending a few days in the high country.

holy crapping basketballs, 40 kilometres, surely you have the decimal point in the wrong place and that would mean 40 metres, that would be enough for me anyway!!

an electronic happy hour, hah! bad enough when I imbibe without my putey getting sozzled as well!!

If you have a web cam Yahoo have a chat thing, but then I'd have to put clothes on while I was chatting.....

Mate ...if only I could join you, Still will be looking for a few wines on the return to civilisation.

I did a trial 16 k walk up Mt Dandenong a week or so ago and was amazed just how heavy 3 litres of water actually is when percieved by a back after about 500 metres.

Oh and to make matters worse there are younger females on the waalk known to run ! up the trail by golly !

What is a man to do !

One of my soninlaws walked that trail every year from either direction, then he knew it was time to give it away  he took his 2 teen daughters [basketball/netball players] with him   never seen a bloke so stuffed when i went and picked them up at Harrietville they ran him into them there hills.  now goes on his own once in awhile but wanders arround Mt Buffalo instead

I think it's a great idea, but I will pass on the camera idea. Basil, didn't know you were a member of the Nudie Nomads LOL.

Hi Mike,
Another good walk in that area is Mount Bogong.
The Lions Club of Upper Kiewa Valley have a "Conquestathon" to walk Victorias Higest Mountain (some idiots actually run it).
A medallion is presented to all who complete the walk.
We're in our fifties and did it without any training, we didn't move much for the next couple of days,
The walk takes about 7 hours.
For more information you can phone 03 57544002.
Happy walking,
Freddo
PS I like the idea of the chat thingy thing.

The engine that drives this forum does not have "Chat" capability so maybe Roostertales could organise one elsewhere? An excelent idea and as it was Roosters I'm not one to steal his thunder so there is your mission should you choose to accept it to set up a chat forum on MSM or Yahoo or where ever....
