just for a moment!!!

may I be so bold as to suggest setting aside a few moments  to just give thought to our victorian freinds in these horrendously trying times, our thoughts and prayers are with you all in these extremely difficult days,

to those that have lost loved one's, we feel your pain most of all and mourn right along with you, we can only provide words and support, but in these exceedingly dark times all of australia is standing right there alongside you, may you find inner peace and comfort in the trying days to come and know you are not alone, my sympathy lies with you all!!!

to those that are watching a lifetime of work go up in flames, we think of you and will help you in any way we can, financially as well as physically

to our galant firefighters, I wish all power to you, strength will be needed in these trying times, be safe and return to your familys and loved one's, you give up so much to recieve so little, but a gratefull nation is watching, I just wish I could be there with you, I have been fighting alongside you many times and I am there again in spirit!!!

to our ambo's and medico's serving at the front, if our boys look a little tired, dont let them back, chances are they've been there too long as it is

to our coppers, look after the place and stop those bloody looters

to the detectives, I dont envy your job, horrible times ahead just try to identify the ones that are possible, put as much effort as you can in catching all the perpertrators before the general puiblic hangs them

to the red cross, salvos, cwa, and all the little nameless shops and supermarkets that have helped in raising funds or help in a physical way a big thank you from the bottom of my heart, there is no better cause!!!!

As I said in another post..... I can't articulate words to express myself. Such a tragic loss of life, limb and property.....

Thank you Dave
for putting into words what we all feel and could not express ourselves.

Spoken like a true volly Davo. You certainly know what the vollies and the community they work to help are feeling.
I have worked with SES, CFS and Sea Rescue, but it never seems to be enough.
In the case of Vic & Qld there never seems to be enough. One fire if brought under control after it's taken lives and property, when another is set off by a mad bugger with matches.
God help the arsonists? Especially if any of the victims catch them.
What sort of froot loop sets the country alight for his jollies? Once again the mental health system lets us down.
It seems as though anything I, as an individual, can give to help is insufficient. I know every little bit helps, but after a wide-spread tragedy, will it ever be enough to feed, clothe and house them now, until their lives are restored to a normal which will never be the same.
It has highlighted my belief that possessions take up too much of our time and attention. It's life we must value and treasure. At the end of the day a flashy big house means nothing, compared to the life of loved ones who live within.
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of all the tragedies in this country over the last 2 weeks.
Cheers Granny
