Back in Wa

G'day all,

Well we are back from SA at last. Brother in law is still hanging on, has the medics baffled, they reckon he should either have been shaking hands with St. Peter or him down below about 6 months ago.

Congratulations to Dave 06 on his 1000th post, hope you keep it up mate.

I haven't had time to catch up on all the posts over the last 8 weeks we have been away but will get there eventually, it's just nice to be back and able to access the forum again.

Best Regards and Safe Travelling to All.
John

G'day,
Thanks for the kind words and thoughts Dave, it is really great to be back on the forum amongst all the nice people, I have missed being able to log on whilst in Adelaide so I am giving serious consideration to setting up wireless broadband on my laptop when we go away again, if I can afford it that is.

Now all I have to do is get Christmas out of the way and I can really start planning our next trip, this one around the block.  At this stage I don't know which direction we will take, it all depends on the time of year we can get going.  If it is early 2009 then will head east from WA, if a bit later say around May then North from Perth, geez decisions, decisions.

Just had a phone call from SIL,BIL admitted to hospital 9pm Tuesday 9th with bowel obstruction, it would appear that time is running out now, we were all hoping he would make Christmas but I feel it would be a blessing if he simply went to sleep and did not wake up.

A very merry Christmas to everyone, may next year bring you all the happiness you deserve.

Best Regards and Safe Travelling To All.
John

mate, my mother and father went unexpectedly and quickly, not together, this I honestly think is the best way for all involved, just wake up one morning and he/she is gone, then one can mourn their loss and move on, the way that you have to endure is cruel to everyone and I can see the mourning carrying on for months, you have my sympathy and I'm sure the forums as well, I really hope it resolves itself quickly for you, so you can get on with your life

G'day Dave,

Once again thanks for the kind words, they are very much appreciated friend.  My philosophy is, there is nothing I can do to help the situation so I hope for a quick and restful passing and whilst I will miss him I'd like to think that he is going to a better place where there is no pain or suffering.  Whilst I will grieve for my loss so to speak I will be happy his misery has ended.

Best Regards and Safe Travelling.
John
