G'day I am new here

G'day All

Thought I had better say hallo as I am new here!
I am Annie (pawsoz also gets my attention!) I am a semi grey nomad at present.
The grey is winning fast and am not interested in spending a fortune trying to hide it! And I sold up my little piece of Australia back in 2004 bought my Hi Top Hi Ace and went roaming, wandered up here to Darwin and met my mate Bob who is not so very healthy, I needed to stay in town a bit for work, he needed a carer (part time).
Have done 3 good trips since being here, including a 7 month wander down WA coast (fantastic), sometime in the next 3 years or will probably head back down South as the Wet gets a bit harder to cope with each year I find.
So basically I am a solo traveller with a very special exception - Clancy my 3 year old Whippet comes everywhere with me (except work) My old lad Carlin is now very content to stay with my mate and be a verandah dog since going blind, but thats ok 'coz the two of them make a good pair!

Looks to be a really good friendly and interesting site and I look forward to chatting with you all and learning heaps I am sure.

Annie and her boyz

Hi Annie, Good to have you on board. I too am a solo traveller, currently live in Victoria but was born and raised in the Northern Territory, and spent a lot of my life in Brisbane. The grey finally took over this year for me.

Clancy looks like a great little mate. I lost my beautiful furry friend, Sheba, last year and haven't chosen to get another just yet though I probably wil. But, gee she's going to be a hard act to follow. Loving and so lovable.

Have travelled round most of Oz and still finding more to see and do. Look forward to hearing more of your travels and sharing ideas and info..

Big Welcome to all of you.  I am a solo too, with one little mate.  Mollie, tenterfield terrier, she is 8 now, and thoroughly ruined.  I am heading to Newcastle for Chrissy.  At North Haven at the moment, lovely spot.  Happy and safe travels.  Barb.  smile

Hi and welcome from another solo!
I am setting myself up at the moment in my Winnebago Freeway and will be heading off from Melbourne after Christmas.
It is encouraging to see the number of solo grey nomads out there going for it, especially woman.
I look forward to meeting you on our travels somewhere!
Cheers,
Dianne
