yeah, damn good question, we have thought long and hard about this ourselves, bikes are great but if one falls off at our age it will hurt and could be disatstrous, a moped, maybe but see answer previous, just add "more pain" to tow another vehicle just means extra wear and tear on that vehicle, and to tow a trailer or car and get in to shopping areas or sightseeing places would be extremely difficult neverlone the reversing side not saying it cant be done, just sydney peak hour crossing the harbour bridge, took wrong entrance comes to mind, and then the other registration plus roadworthys and maintenence, we honestly dont have the answer, we see every description known to man, a lot of full timers tow a car and park the motorhome in a caravan park and then use the car to do everyday things, great if like them you are going in to a caravan parks also a lot of parks now one cant get a "big rig" into, we wont be doing that, we will be free camping and I dont think we will have any other form of transport, if we cant get the motorhome close to the place of interest we will walk, grab a taxi, use a bus, hire a car, we will try to stock up at a large supermarket (prices are cheaper and parking is usually ok) before we settle for the night, normally the tourist traps have very large carparks these days, or at least the ones that we have visited, a lot of places that we have been in, particularly medium to larger cities now have "caravan and motorhome parking" which is usually close to shopping and chemists, there are also "motorhome friendly town" signs going up everywhere and once again whatever one needs is within walking distance from a motorhome park. we only have trouble in a city, and then I wouldnt call it trouble, just inconvienience because little blue is a little larger than usual she is harder to park, but where we park her a motorhome would fit so I honestly cant see a problem without a second vehicle, I see a lot of problems with a second vehicle
