My boss has just approved my holidays, first day off 1Feb back to work on the 1Jul.
Can now start doing some serious trip and preparation planning.

now Garry decorum please remember your age, one does not get "excited" it is not healthy, jeeeeez!!!!! 5 months, where are you going, Gibb river road, Darwin, kakadu, cape york, kimberleys, Tasmania, you could do a circuit in that time, I am both extremely jealous and at the same time feeling down because I must wait 2.9 years before I'm gone for good

Dave,
my way of thinking is to stick to the Victorian highlands for Feb, it should be a bit cooler than the coast or inland then start slowly heading North.
How far we get, who knows. Just gonna take it easy, enjoy the scenery and hopefully have a few reds around a campfire with other travellers.
