Count Down...........yep, 2 weeks and I'm off for my first camping experience. Am joining a small gathering of a camper trailer group at the Black ****atoo Bush Camp located a little ways east of Naracoorte. The gathering is open to any and everybody, and the organiser has been most welcoming.
I'm a little nervous, but also very eager to get them wheels turning in the right direction. And watch out once I have broken the ice, as I have distant plans of staying out there as long as I am able, so move over, here I come.
Griz, I really hope to see you out there one day and share a beverage or three, good luck to you mate, remember dont be afraid to aproach a camp fire full of friends that you just havent met yet, you'll be welcome, say g'day from Dave, forget the nerves, nothing to be nervous about, should be full of anticipation, though, great times ahead, lots of new fantastic memories, lots of new life long friends, take the good feelings of the forum with you as we all wish you well

Damn....I haven't gone. Had some surgery in my mouth which is still loaded with stitches, wound is still weeping, and sore as ! GP has advised me to lay low while the drugs start working and closer to help if anything goes astray...So now you know why I said "DAMN" Camper is hitched to my Suzi...food etc loaded...goodies in the fridge, so I guess I might as well park it on the front lawn and go camping.
Griz GO GO GO, stuff the front lawn, wave to the GP, the old saying, the one you miss out on, is never got back.
Seriously, what can your Gp do, that one where you are going cannot, if one is required at all. My premise is, that you are not leaving the planet, and are within a phone call and easy travell back, if needed.
