Road condition and camping on the Great Central Road
(Preview)
Hi all. I am totally new to the group and would love some relevant info on the Great Central Road from Yulara to Laverton. We plan to travel this road in late April. Very aware that it will be hot and that rain in the area could totally change our plans but hopefully it will be dry by then. Also have read a lot...

Cobb and Silver City Highways.
(Preview)
Just completed Cobb from Hay to Wilcannia and Silver City to Warri Gate. Both now sealed all the way and the entire routes-except for a few soft spots South of Ivanhoe, in excellent shape. There is one grid about 8km from Tibooburra which is quite dangerous with a 'speed hump' on either side: dead slow r...

Bruce Hwy - Gympie
(Preview)
For those who have the misfortune to travel the Bruce Hwy, some good news as the Gympie By Pass - Gympie to Currra has opened, which means no traffic jams in Gympie and a 4 lane Hwy Curra to Brissie, only 1,500more Kms to do for a decent road to Cairns, should only take another 40 years.

Hi all. Seeking information on the condition of Cooma Road from Cooma to Braidwood. I believe some part of it is unsealed? Is it narrow with lots of curves; hilly/steep ascents and descent etc? Flood damaged etc. Any information re this would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Hello. Just wondering if the C612 (Bonang Road) is suitable for towing caravans. My partner is experienced with mountain towing (Brown, Talbingo, Hotham, Sue City), but this sounds like it might be longer, steeper, windier? Narrow roads with logging trucks and no guardrails freaks me out a bit. Th...
