Mt Britton abandoned gold mining town

35mins north-west of Nebo on the central tableslands qld. Founded in 1880,had a population of 1500 by 1883.By 1887 most businesses were closed and mining ceased in 1890. There is basic camping in the Homevale Resourse Reserve at Moonlight dam.
