Throwing Butts on the ground
(Preview)
For at least 20 years in Victoria I've reported smokers that throw their butts on the ground near or from inside their car. The penalty used to be around $150. Victoria has had a reporting system with the EPA for more than that period and I have been active in such activity. I've reported two guys in Bend...

How to start a/c on generator
(Preview)
If you are having trouble starting your a/c on the genny, try this. It is the combined current draw of both fan and compressor at start up that trips the overcurrent protection on medium gennys.
Try running the fan only for a few moments before switching to cool. This way you only have two individual st...

Adjust window travel length
(Preview)
Hi All
Have just purchased a caravan with the windows that travel out to click to hold open. Previously we had wind out windows. Is there a way to adjust how far the window opens before the first click. We find that it is too far open when it rains and the position in the window frame is not far enough for air...

Improvements and changes to a camper trailer
(Preview)
The first thing I changed on the camper was the water pump. The original pump was very noisy which I replaced with a shurflo pump (I think that was the name), much quieter. I also made a stainless steel box to house the pump in. The other change I recently made was to replace the original shockers with Pedd...

I have an Adria caravan which has failed the gas inspection due to a bogus certificate issued previously. The defect list is such that it needs to have the gas system de-commissioned. Is it legal for me to simply de-register the van and sell it "as is, where is"? Can I do that whilst a defect notice for the...
