KETO DIET

Hi all I dont normally even look at this page as my health is very good except for glaucoma which I inherited ( thxs dad ) , I'm now 62 officially and had put on  extra  kilos  over the last 30 years , I hate see'ing people my age hobbling around carrying spare tyres,  so I try to keep it down by eating well .Recently I seen a doco by Pete Evans ( my kitchen rules ) It was partially about the aboriginal community and their health , Looking back on old pics you could see how lean and fit their race was , but over the last 100 years give or take , they have developed all sorts of WHITES MANS DISEASES . They are suffering because of all the crap food we introduced to them . Flour and Sugar being the main ones. I'm not a health guru , but something is wrong with our diets in general . On the program there were a few different people that tried out the Keto diet over a 5 week period monitored by a doctor ,all of them had significant improvements in their health and well being .If your on a swag of pills etc please take the time to check it out .I'm now a convert - health living all.

The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control epilepsy in children. www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto

Add Walking into your life - 30 mins. /3km  per day  - EVERY DAY -. no need for a companion, dog, music, special equipment ,special track  or special clothes  - just go and walk (some hills preferably). It is simple, natural and  costs nothing

-  but do it everyday, rain ,hail or shine - the elements won't hurt you.

So many doctors etc.  keep telling us that it is good for you they cannot all be wrong.

I did keto for almost 6 months......lost 20 kgs, halved my BP meds, took my diabetes HbA1C back to normal.

Then I had a break out.....apples, ice cream, white wine and fresh bread....and then I couldn't start it again.

Was good while it lasted.
