Our Current Trip To North Western Victoria - Part 1.

Our first camp was at Kiata campground in the Little Desert National Park.

Terrific photograthy. We love camping in the Mallee . Bird life is excellent and plenty of nice quite spots to camp away from the madding crowds. Rod.

We will be going up through there on our way across to WA in early August. We were going to make Lake leSalles at Hopetoun the first night camp but your photos are making me want to go back to Lake Albacutya. Rod.

Free camping around the lake in Hopetoun has become too well known.

If you're not there by 11am you've got no chance.

It's exactly the kind of place we stay away from.

In the past it was great but in recent years it's packed every day.

They were overflowing into the caravan park a few weeks back.

The painted silo trail shenanigans has also made things worse.
