G-Day all you solar Pannel gurus are these Pannels any good they seem good value to me what do others think.

Not sure if it is the folding part that appeals to you.
If not, I bought 2x200W panels from Bitdeals for $280.
Tried them out and one panel was putting out 12A, which is more than they claimed.
Just checked on ebay and they are now $265.
Just need to get a good controller to go with them.

HI Woodysmile

If you are going to use them as portable then you need to know they weigh 18KG. That will test you out a bit getting them in and out !! But you may be able to handle that weight.

I had some folding ones a while back but disconnected them and used them as singles, and they were lighter than those !!

Yes sorry should have thought of that no not to be used for folding will be mounted on camper trailer boat rack ( no boat )

Hewey54 I like those they look good value
So just to be sure you say one was putting out 12A so with two hocked together does that mean I need a controller that can handle 24 A or more , or does hooking two together not make that output double ? Ie 24 A

Yes, two in parallell will give up to 24A output, so I bought a 30A controller
It is a Steca look alike on ebay for $100
Put the new controller side by side with my genuine 10A Steca and I cannot see a difference.

Panels have arrived and today I wired them in along with the controller only one panel mounted yet though seems ok so far but still in the shed will see how it goes later this week .

Well new panels arrived and fitted so is the new controller all going well so far went from 12.7 to 14.3 when I took it out of the shed to the sunshine
